I'm Naveah Castro, a student at Ronald Reagan High School. In art or when I create artwork, I use value in my charcoal pieces. But If I'm doing a drawing or a painting I tend to focus more on themes, and concepts. Each art technique I use, I do different depths when creating them. For charcoal pieces I focus on the depth of value and shading and the shadow created with shading. I like to do objects for those pieces, So I look at every detail and also the big picture. For my drawings and paintings I focus on composition and perception a lot, I want the big idea to get across. Then I add more hidden meaningful symbolism and details. When I represent my artworks, I want the viewers to at least understand it. But I add details, that creates questions and uncertainty. That's how I make my artwork meaningful and get the viewers to dig deeper. I want them to notice the techniques I used, I represent the movements in my artworks boldly. Mainly in my charcoal art pieces. But even for my drawings and paintings, I use the same concept and even dig deeper. Since I have more freedom on themes.
